What hardware is this course going to recommend/support/use?

Dear FB

The course will be illustrated on a Nexys A7 board from Digilent with Artix7 100T FPGA. 

The predecessor to this board, Nexys 4 DDR will work exactly the same way as well. 

The XUP (Xilinx University Program) and Digilent are supporters of RVfpga and are giving excellent support. 

We expect community members will proliferate RVfpga on to other platforms and we hope they will publish their solutions here.

Excuse me, is it possible to follow the course without the hardware?

In my university we have the Nexys 4 but I don't currently have access to one of them.

Yes. There’s a simulator option, so you will be able to do the course without hardware.

Yes. The simulation route will be specified as part of the software set. It varies depending on the OS chosen. 

The Getting Started Guide will explain these things. We are finalising this part at the moment.
