@kaiser_baal

You need to give a lot more detail please.

Which version of windows?
Which new driver(s)?

Which part of RVfpga will not run? At which point in Getting Started? Or a Lab?

We suggest you attach screen shots of your windows configuration and the error(s) you get.

I'm sorry about the confusion that I stared up earlier today, somehow, I couldn't upload the file with my topic, so I have to describe my issue here below.

1. On Win11, I deploy Cygwin64 version 2.909, install Verilator 4.216 and your Vrvfpgasim, thanks to your suggestions on 《RVfpga_GettingStartedGuide》 in "RVfpga_Simplified_Chinese_V1.0".

I've seen how to build and generate the trace file, and how to check wave-form with "GTKwave".

2. VScode was normally installed on C:/, when I was tring to download bitstream, it said that the "dtmcontrol" is zero, and it suggested me to check about power_supply or connectivity.

I wonder if it is completely owning to the A7 board which had malfunction owning to power overloaded once. If it is, should I change it or not?

Thank you.

I've just tested AL_operation and Blinky in your example, I can do wave_form simulate but I couldn't downloaded it.

Hi @kaiser_baal,

I think that your problem is probably related with software and not with hardware, so do not change the board for now, and let's make sure that your software installation is good.

Note that RVfpga is tested on a Windows 10 OS, not on a Windows 11 OS. That does not mean that it should not work on Windows 11, but it might need some changes. I've just checked and my laptop does not support an updating to Windows 11 due to a processor incompatibility, so I cannot test it at this moment, but I will try it somehow in the next few weeks.

Anyway, you should make sure that you've followed the exact installation steps described in the GSG. Did you follow the Quick Start Guide from Section 2 or the extended Installation Guide from Section 5? Did you install Vivado? Please be especially careful with the drivers installation for the Nexys A7 and note that for using VSCode+PlatformIO on Windows you need to install the drivers using Zadig as explained in Appendix B of the GSG. Did you use Zadig for installing the drivers? Please look at the messages that I get when downloading the bitstream, which in my case works ok.

When you've reviewed the whole installation process and you're sure that it's alright, please let us know. Sounds good?

Best regards
Daniel
