Balanstech B1000 A board

In 2019, UniSoc developed the T710 System-On-Chip (SoC) for 5G mobile phones, with an octa-core processor containing four Cortex-A75 cores and four Cortex-A55 cores. The device features an Imagination PowerVR Graphics Processor (GPU: 9th generation GM9446), also used in MediaTek’s Helio P90 SoC. The T710 was also the first to include a dedicated neural-network Processing Unit (NPU) based on Imagination’s 2NX for artificial intelligence applications. This NPU has a heterogeneous dual-core architecture and delivers 2.5TOPS per watt.

The processor supports multiple AI framework formats, including TensorFlow, TensorFlow Lite, Caffe, and multiple AI data formats such as quantization (INT4, INT8, INT16) and floating-point (FP16). Tiger T710 also works with Android NNAPI; UNISOC provides a proprietary SDK for more efficient development and deployment of third-party AI applications.

Balanstech of China produces an evaluation board using the T710 called the B100 A, which is available for purchase from Chinese Components Distributor OneYAC.
